Sleepstorm's third EP Shallow Abyss

While creating the EP The Demo Sessions (2024), the members of Sleepstorm delved into inspirations from the past, revisiting the music they grew up with in the '80s and '90s. In late summer 2023, they switched on reverbs and delays to produce an authentic eighties sound. Over the following months, this resulted in refreshing new music for more than eight songs. Eventually, in the spring of 2024, they traveled to a small town in the French Ardennes, where they stayed for a week. During this session, they focused on fine-tuning six of the songs, writing lyrics, and recording all vocals.

Back in the Netherlands, the tracks were mixed and mastered, and six music videos were produced in record time. The songs were released monthly between June and November 2024, each accompanied by a music video. On Friday, December 13 that same year, the EP Shallow Abyss was officially released. Sleepstorm was invited by various local radio stations to perform some songs live. Although the band decided to stop doing gigs in 2019, they gladly made an exception for this special occasion!
